31 Key - Very Fast Shutdown
Injection of Boron directly in the Molten Salt
Considered as a last resort to shutdown a reactor in case of catastrophic problems this process will cease all fission activity by the boron being in the solution.
High Temperature and Electric Failure Plug Salt Dump
By use of a plug of salt kept cool in the automatic shutdown pipe, an automatic shutdown of the reactor will occur if the temperature of the salt rises above the rate at which the salt plug can be cooled or if the reactor suffers an electrical failure the plug will melt and the molten salt will drain from the reactor chamber into a series of tanks that will automatically turn the salt into solid form thereby stopping the nuclear reaction.
